James Lovely Sr. was born on November 26, 1946, and passed away on July 26, 2026, in Jackson, Mississippi. He was seventy-nine years old. His passing leaves cherished memories and a legacy of strength and dignity.

Throughout his life, James Lovely Sr. made an indelible mark on all who knew him. His presence was a source of guidance, warmth, and inspiration to everyone in his circle. Family, friends, and all those connected to James are invited to remember and celebrate his life during the upcoming services. Visitation will be held at Barnes Chapel & Mortuary Service, located at 5087 Hwy 61 South in Port Gibson, Mississippi, on August 14, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place the following day, August 15, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Burner Baptist Church, 1087 Barland Road, Pattison, Mississippi. Reverend Dr. Ray Coleman Pastor. Pastor Loren M. Lovely Sr. of Kinsman Redeemer Church will be officiating.
