Terrian Earl Bailey, Sr., affectionately known as "Phat", left this world on September 7, 2026, while bravely serving the community he cherished in Claiborne County, MS. Born on January 5, 1981, to Joe and Lucinda Stewart, Terrian's journey in Port Gibson was marked by dedication and kindness.
Graduating from Port Gibson High School in 1999, Terrian was a true embodiment of warmth—welcoming everyone as a friend. As a Deputy with the Claiborne County Sheriff's Department for six years, his compassion made him beloved by all. Tragically, Terrian was taken from us while responding to a disturbance call, leaving a legacy of courage and selflessness.
A devoted family man, Terrian shared his life with his wife, Detranell, and delighted in his children, Kimori, Ro'Terria, Terrian Jr., King, and Onyx, along with his four grandchildren. His parents, Joe and Lucinda, his sister, LaTasha Smith, and his brother, Mikal Bailey, will forever treasure his memory.
Terrian thrived in the company of family and friends, whether indulging in his love for football, cooking, and making others laugh. His spirit will forever echo in the hearts of those he touched.
His legacy of service and love endures, reminding us of a life beautifully lived and deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Deputy Terrian Bailey Memorial Fund to support his family during this difficult time: [Deputy Terrian Bailey Memorial Fund]( https://pbfi.networkforgood.com/projects/305752-deputy-terrian-bailey-memorial-fund).
